Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most famous role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio in the late 1970's. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater parts for a number of years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. She also guest-starred on the show. appeared in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Then it was not until the end of the 1990s when she was cast in the role of The Practice. In 2000, she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood was another movie she was a part of. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. She also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in his relationship with Skyler is mirrored in the television show.
